The Dress Rehearsal -3rd Preseason Game

Who cares!?!  This game is meaningless.  And, after reading Armando Salguero's article about ex-Seattle coach Dan  Quinn, now with Atlanta, it means less to me.

As Armando intimated, it is important not to show too much.  And because I sincerely believe we have a chance to beat Seattle in week 1, why would we show anything?  Run basic plays, run our uptempo style of course, as everyone knows we will be doing it anyway. Just don't show the route trees to them.  Keep it simple.  Don't show the pulling guard plays; don't show the misdirection plays; don't show the safety and corner blitzes; don't give away line calls or tendancies; don't show jack!   Who cares if we lose?  Hell, let's lose by thirty to provide a false sense of superority, so when Seattle gets popped in the mouth they will begin to doubt.  Doubters in football are losers.

Miami coaches and players just know you will score early and often.  Never doubt it.  Know you will stop the run.  Know you will penitrate their lines and shut down their receivers. No matter what happens, just KNOW IT.  NEVER DOUBT.

This is the best coaching staff since the Shula era.  I have no doubt we are on the road to the playoffs.

If the players win the one on one battles in this game, who cares about its outcome... stay healthy and have a solid scrimmage.

No, I'm wowing because you are dead sure we are making the playoffs this year and it's only week 3 of preseason with a whole new coaching staff

No, not exactly what I meant. I said we were on the road to the playoffs. It may take 1 more year, but I feel very strongly that we are much closer now. I completely disagree with NFL.Com, ESPN, Madden, and the Sun Sentinel that we don't have the talent to contend. Our problem for 10 years has been poor coaching. I believe that part has finally been fixed. I'm sorry, but when Bill Belicheat can take scrubs from the waiver wire and finish with a Super Bowl appearance due to a very strong defense after losing SIX starters, I know it is coaching and scheme which makes winning teams. Yes, great players make it easier, but coaching rules the roost for wins and losses. How many times did Shula miss the playoffs? Not many! Coaching.

I just want Tannehill upright and hot plus a good running game. That is all I want to see against Atlanta.

You give the pregame talk week one, Madphins! Pumped.

It would be nice to see some position wins also...and better tackling...

i like the optimism. I've been a fan for about 44 years and i'm looking forward to seeing what this team can do with some new coaches. Philbin was the most inept we've had since "fail forward fast" and i'm hoping Gase and Joseph can turn this ship around. All i want at this point is competitive football where we don't look like the JV team. GO PHINS~!

Two items for tonight:

1-Identify the bellcow RB (Heck, it may be Pead !)

2- Can the DLine stop the run at all ? This is the real problem overall. Not stopping the run compromises the entire team in all facets. Teams run, then they easily pass, then the Phins are behind, then RT tries to bring them back via pass, then the Oline stinks and RT gets pounded when the opposition knows he must pass, then the running game is abandoned, then we - Phins lose, then coach gets fired, then....you want mas ??

'NO MAS' !!!
