Don't kid yourselves

Miami didn't win the game yesterday, Cleveland lost it.

The Browns played a better game, had a better strategy, and should have won the game easily. They killed themselves with penalties and a few dumb plays. And missing a field goal at the end was dumb luck.

We should be afraid because the dolphins are way worse. I can't think of anything Miami did better, except win.

The dolphins are way worse than I ever thought.... This is going to be a multi year rebuilding process.

But isnt that usually how we lose? Cant have it both ways. If you do, the only way you would be happy is if we blew teams out.

Miami was nothing short of inept. Cleveland couldn't get out of its own way. I expect that in an exciting game that goes to overtime, both teams have put together good game plans. Miami should have lost this game by double digits and the fact that they didn't isn't a testament to anything Miami did well.

Of course I want my fins to blow teams out! Don't we all?

It was laughable...they really had two players...Crowell and Pryor...Im worried about Vance Josephs learning curve as a DC...though I did like Adam Gases post game interview...the Defense actually played an "okay enough to win" game believe it or not...but the offense? C'mon man...Gase gave some credit to the D and ripped his offense said, "we have to play better, and I'm gonna make sure of it" well....if we beat the Bengals Thursday I'll believe it...but man...our offense is Jekyll and Hyde to the Max....

sure, as a fan I'm always trying to be optimistic but our run defense just sucks and we need to get QB pressure from the outset so stop opposing QB's gaining confidence. Wake played great and I hope we see more of him. Our running game and all involved need to execute and stop giving up and our WR's as stated gave up on a lot of routes. Usually that happens when you lose confidence in your QB. RT was erratic and still makes rookie mistakes by holding the ball too long and not seeing DL's that are close enough to block his pass. His pocket presence needs to get better and if he doesn't get much better this year I think we need to move on from him. He just doesn't get the basics. Marino spoiled us forever..............

If the Browns had another kicker and or more gas inside Pryor, the Phins lose. After the 2nd half at NE and entire game at SEA, I just cannot figure out this team. If Gase can get them straight in a short week and beat CIN at home, that would be a major achievement and probably stabilize who the Phins are and what we as fans can expect and hope for balance of the year. I am still optimistic, believe Phins played somewhat down to the level of the opponent. They are not in that luxury position to play 'down' to anyone. Going to be a fiery week at NOVA with coaches and players after today's film session.

I held out hope, but needed to see improvement against the Browns. This really should've been the easiest win on the schedule. I didn't expect the playoffs, but I did expect improvement from last year. Now I expect a 4 or 5 win season. Very depressing. I hope that Gase and company can continue to strengthen this roster to be competitive next year and beyond.
I still think that Tannehill can be the man, but they need more balance. They need to be more uptempo, as well. I thought that they would, after having success against New England. They looked like they were going through the motions yesterday.

The margin between winning and losing in the NFL is razor thin. The Dolphins lost two close games on the road against two very tough teams. They pulled out squeaker at home against a bad team. I expected Miami to only win one or two of their first four games and that's exactly what they've done so far. If we are lucky we might get eight wins this year.

This was a game of two teams trying their best to give away the win like no one wanted it. At the same time, a lot of people don't realize all the little details that go into to playing football at the pro level. It's the small details that are costing us and killing our opportunities on both sides of the ball. A little detail that turns a 1 or 2 yard run into a 9 yard run. Even Gase sees this and talks about it. It takes time for a team with a new coach and new schemes to get everything on the same page and gel as a team. Heck the coaches are still figuring out what the players are best at. Everyone should have known this was a rebuilding year and that this is not a playoff team yet. Teams with new coaches generally don't gel until at least 6 or 7 games into the season. Only then will we know what we have in a team.

David Keller, These days results are expected quickly. Unfairly or not. I thought that the team would play a lot better especially playing against the worst team in football. Look at the Eagles with a new coach, and rookie QB. It is clear to see that the team is not good. I was just hoping that they would be better than a 4-5 win team. I was so let down by this game. I was planning on the one and only blowout of our season, and instead it looked like we were running in mud on offense, and our defense still can't tackle. The one depressing thing is Byron Maxwell just isn't a good player. Hopefully Culliver returns to form, when he returns. On a positive note, two of our draft picks look really good immediately. Tunsil (obviously), and Howard. Maybe he will develop into a shutdown corner, or close enough to it. What is going on with Juwan James. I thought that he would take the next step in progression, instead he has taken a big step backwards.

Hey lets face it b4 this year we would have lost yesterday's game. So a WIN is a WIN no matter what and maybe just maybe this poor performance was a notice to the team to step it up!!! I mean we do have to travel to Cinn. Bengals are a tuff game at there house. What I'm saying is I think a little under handed statements by Gase is a movation statement. Anyhow G O D O L P H I N S
