Why do we have to listen to this blow-hard? I am so sick of his pseudo-analysis. It is like he roots against my beloved Dolphins, picking out negative instances of plays over the last 6 years, to further some vendetta against the organization for shunning him - so he has some "I told you" moments for his next week's articles and videos. It has gotten out of control. We want beat writers who actually like the Organization and the Dolphins as a Team.

If you think the best writer should be a fan and only wrote cupcake pieces about a team that's been mediocre to bad for over a decade, then you guys are the real problem, it's why there's been no accountability over a decade, it's why Ross sticks with the sinking ships 2 years too long, because you idiots accept moral victories and settle on mediocrity, best writers should not be fans, they should be honest, and honest analysis of the Dolphins is recognizing they are an 0-2 teams with as low starting offense and bad defense

LOL MadPhins! As I have stated over and over and over again, Omar Kelly breeds drams for his twitter followers, that is how he grows his count.
When he gets caught contradicting himself, which happens quite often, he takes it as a personal attack and blocks that person and all he has to say is "opinions change"
My question is, if Omar Kelly is such an expert on schemes and especially draft prospects, why isn't he a scout or coach? He can make far more money.
Lastly, he constantly says that he is an "analyst", but last time I checked his job title on his articles is "contact reporter". Since when are those jobs even remotely close to the same? Would it be fair for all the folks at ESPN, NFL network, CBS etc etc to call themselves reporter when they are really analysts? Just curious because I would like to be a rocket scientist even though I am a licensed plumber...

Kenvin you are 100% correct. These tannehill supporters are insane. No accountability for the past ten years has suck this franchise to the cellar. Now when someone tells the truth; the tannehill supporters get upset.
Let's be clear...no one is saying that Phins aren't mediocre, or sometimes worse even, what I and other critics of O.Kelly are saying is that he is just a blow of hot air, cocky, and does not give objective opinions pro and con, comes off as an 'analyst' and is nothing of the sort.
Most Phin fans are real and know exactly what our team is, stick with them no matter what and just like to hear good, clear and responsible reporting. None of that is offered up by Mr. Kelly. He is always sarcastic, condensending and rips the team at every chance for every thing possible. Dropping him and getting someone else (an ex player who knows real football, hello ?) to work with C.Perkins is better than what dribble comes out of his mouth now. If I were a player, I would shut him down, not say a freaking word to him, speak to all other media members...let's see what happens to him then, hmmmmm ?

I agree that beat writers should be objective and honest. Kelly is neither. He's obviously anti-Dolphin. His articles are badly slanted, only occasionally informative, and rarely interesting.

I'd have to agree with most every one here. He is incredibly sarcastic, crass, and negative toward the team regularly. You can be honest without being rude and cruel to the team your covering. There's really no excuse for him taunting and carrying on the way he did with Mr. Perkins.

Lets remember we are all entitled to our opinions. Trust me, from reading alot of fans posts there are little facts ever presented, just opinions. As a life long dolphin fan I do enough research about every aspect of the team to have a pretty good understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of this team. I agree with alot of the decisions and have a few that I question. Omar has made some valid points in the past which I have agreed with and some that are of base. Thats the beauty of discussion, that everyone wont always agree. I am a believer in #17 and seem to argue every day with fans that he is better than average and just hasnt been provided with the complimentary tools to make him successful. This staff is taking the step in the right direction with him and by the end of the year everyone should realize he is not problem with this team. So even though we feel Mr, Kelly can be negative and anti Dolphins most times he does have his right to his opinions. You have the right to not read what he publishes and find your own sources. Search out Andy Cohen as he is always dolphin positive and writes some good columns.
Omar Kelly will never be fired, he is a soldier in the liberal media, he will be promoted to ESPN one day, then fade away, like a fart.
