Can The Dolphins Win At Baltimore?

The Baltimore Ravens seem to always have our number, sometimes it's a close game sometimes it's not, but going back to our last play-off appearance witch was in 2008 against the Ravens the Dolphins have not done well against them.

Yes, they have a 6-5 record and are not looking like a good offensive team, but they do have the number 2 over all defense and they are a very well coached team that will give the Dolphins a run for their money.

The offensive line needs to play like all five starters are playing because nothing is going to be given, and the most important battle is going to be in the trenches. The trenches are where the line of scrimmage and time of possession will win or lose the game for the Dolphins.

With all that been said, I do think that this is a different team than what the Dolphins have put on the field in a long time. They're fighting and not giving up and most importantly they find a way to win the close games.

I'm expecting a huge game for the Dolphins on defense, not just keeping the Dolphins in it, but possibly winning the game for them. I do believe the Dolphins can and will find a way to win this game.

This is truly a pivotal game. Pretty much all games from here on out are must win games. Dolphins need to go at least 3-2 over the next five weeks to have a chance at the playoffs.

If Miami's o-line does its job, the running game should be successful. Miami's best chance of winning is by keeping the ball and letting their defense sit most of the game. But, I'm afraid that Miami is too reliant on Albert and Pouncey; it doesn't matter how good they are if they're not on the field. I would have replaced both of them during the off-season.

I agree don't think pounce has played 16 games in the last 3 seasons about time to replace him

It's just annoying that people keep calling them unicorns. They are offensive linemen, Omar, you dickhead!

Definitely great IF we can get Albert and Tunsil back. My keys: 1) Get over 125 yards on the ground. We need to control this game. Play Action will help us beat this D. 2) Points will be a premium. Get Touchdowns, not field goals. 3) Tight game, don't turn the ball over. Quickest way for us to lose. Thinking Dolphins 17-13 Would really like to win this game and get to 8-4. Beat Cardinals, Bills, Jets and Patriots and win the AFC East in the end and get a 1st round bye...OK OK

Not going to be easy on the eyes for sure, but Phins will squeak it out with a super special teams effort. Drake, Grant and Franks, Darr will be the stars. The defense will keep Ravens limited Offense in check, and the Ravens will likely do the same vs Phins. If Ajayi can somehow grind out close to 100 yards, the Phins can control some clock and win a field possession type game. Won't be pretty, but no one will care if Phins can get to 8-4 and go home happy.

Must-win game for the Dolphins. Period!

The Dolphins can definitely win. This is a much better Miami team than what we've seen the last few years and this is a mediocre Ravens team compared to what we've seen. Miami needs to continue finding ways to move to ball on offense by being multi-dimensional, which they've been pretty good at the last 6 games.

The key to this one is actually going to be defense and special teams. The Ravens are not a good rushing team, but Miami needs to clamp down on their running game anyway and force Flacco to throw. He loves to throw bombs up the field but the fact is he's actually not that good at it. He just bombs it and prays that one of his WRs gets there (like he did in the SB). He threw 2 INTs against the Brown both times that they played and 2 INTs against a regressing Jets pass defense. I can see this being another game where he gets picked off multiple times.

Special teams needs to keep us in good field position and them in bad position. If we can consistently start each drive beyond our own 30 yard line, we'll be in good shape. And no more muffed punts! That is inexcusable and if Grant can't clean it up, then he's a wasted roster spot. I like Grant, but I don't care if he's a rookie. He has ONE DAMN JOB....CATCH.THE.****ING.PUNT.

So, to summarize:

1. Stop the run COMPLETELY and force Flacco to throw, preferably while playing from behind.

2. No mistakes on special teams and keep us in good field position.

3. Balanced offense. No turnovers. Don't abandon the run no matter what. There should be 25-30 running plays called. Tannehill has been amazing when he rolls out, but it won't work if the Ravens never expect a run play.

Of course, Gase knows this. That's why he's Adam Gase and not Joe Philbin.

The Ravens and the Bills will be our two hardest games to win the rest of this season. I think our only chance is if we have both Albert and Tunsil back on the Oline. We can still make the playoffs if we lose this game but winning this game gives us the best chance to get in.

avatar

Both teams will bang it in the first half and play conservatively till the break...then all hell will break loose as Tannehill carries us on his back again in a second half shootout...not sure who will win but both teams will predominately throw the ball starting early in the second half...10-7 at the half...Final Score...31-27

I seriously doubt this game ends with high scores.

When you start 1-4 all the games are pivotal.

This don't feel like old times, the fins don't give up. So don't give up on them!

avatar

Running will be difficult because the Ravenshave the #1 run defense, Tannehill has to come up big and so does defense and special teams, if we are to win it has to be a team victory

avatar

Albert and Tunsil will play, barring a set back.

Agree but but I don't know about Ajayi going to get that many yards against a team that allows only 74 yards a game without crowding the box.

I like, you have good football knowledge and understanding. Phins up!
