So much for expectations.

All I can really say is WOW, I thought I was being realistic when setting expectation for the fins. I figured a 7 or 8 win team is what we would put on the field. That would be ok if we show direction and excitement with competitive close games. Anyway some of you if not all where mad and saying a 9, 10 or 11 win team, all I can say is we all where dreaming, what a mess. I truly don't see an end in sight, the questions run deep, the hole they're digging is looking like grave!!! What a disappointing season we are having, what a bad taste each game leaves behind. And now we release our backups, when the starters are always hurt, shouldn't the coaching staff have known what the fan base has known for 2 years about Dallas Thomas and Billy Turner (they suck) should've released them in the summer (training camp).  We are in deep sh_t my friends. This season is lost.

I'm not disappointed at all. They are playing exactly as I expected.

100% right...couldn't have said it better myself...we should clean house including Gase and his sub- par coaching staff...I wish Tannenbaum and Ross would dissappear also...

The players have got to figure out a way to get tannehill from under center before Sunday because if we lose anther game; which we are sure to do with tannepuke under center; our season will be practically over. Adam gase does not seem to understand how long we dolphin fans and the players have suffered at the hands of Henne/tannepuke at the helm. That rascal does not seem to care either. So the team and the fans have to put their heads together and figure out a way to prevent tannehill from getting under center this Sunday and the rest of the season. Even at this point Matt Moore can get us into the playoffs. Fans do not attend the games;and the fans who do MUST boo tannehill constantly until a change at QB is made. The players should only offer token service. If both groups hold their position; we will defeat our misguided head coach and we will get Matt Moore under center before tannepuke can blow a 5th season. Perseverance WILL PAYOFF!

Why are you blaming Tannehill with this putrid offensive line? The poor kid gets killed at 1.8 seconds! No one in this league can perform at that rate! I coach here at MSU in Missoula. Our team holds 4 DL and average of 3.8 seconds. That is plenty of time throw in HS, College and Pros. When they get speed pressure or blitzing pressure on my line 1 player breaks down and the line collapses. RT has no time to throw or doing anything with this OL. When he is in shotgun and has time he make plays and is quite accurate. Put some MFing Hogs in front him who like Incognito (vicious SOB's and bet he would not get touched)! So I disagree with you. Tannehill can be good if given the time.

I agree. Well said.

However, I will still call him Tanne-Hype until he leads us into the playoffs.

Pasquale; I don't know what games that you have been watching; but what I have observed is that tannehill has at least 3 seconds on most plays. And when he has about 7 or 8 seconds; he looks more confused. Also from what I have observed for 5 years now; is, the more time tannehill has to throw; the less he does with that time. Only when tannehill gives the opposing defenses the jump on our offense; does he have 2 or 3 seconds to throw. I want tannehill benched now. We cannot allow him to blow any more games before the bye week. The players have to see to it because the coach is lost mentally; and it is worst than anyone could have imagined. I am confident that if tannehill plays another down in Miami; the both of them will be dismissed before the end of the season. We cannot let tannehill blow this season. Players you must find a way; because Matt Moore has to be under center against the Steaalers or we are doomed.
And by the way; all of you tannehill supporters are liars. You swore that you would not make excuses for tannepuke in his 5th season. Some tannehill supporters said this back in 2014 and now in 2016 those idiots are still making excuses for him. They all are sick. tannehill will claim gase this season.

This team has way bigger issues than Tannehill. Like it or not, he's the best option at that position for remainder of this season. Makes no sense to bench him now. The money they dumped on Suh screwed us in every possible way. They can't keep switching coaches either. Why do you think this team is f'd. We're gonna have to wait out the 3 years with this coach too. Although I think Gase will flop no matter who's under center. Then we'll have to cross our fingers and hope they make the right choice next time. It's getting old. Let's just hope someone in this totally f'd organization pulls there head out and gets something figured out before then.

Tannehill sucks. As Omar Kelly correctly points out, his biggest weakness is his pocket presence. Beyond that, he can't read a defense, he stares down receivers, he throws the ball too low and gets batted down all the time, he can't handle pressure and folds on third down and in the fourth quarter, he doesn't have good instincts for the position, he plays like a robot, he shows no leadership or emotion, he doesn't inspire confidence, he doesn't throw accurate passes, he doesn't lead the receivers so they can make good runs after the catch. Besides all that, he is OK. LMAO. PLEASE START DOUGHTY and see if he has potential because Tannehill is BAD!!!!!

Simply DELUSIONAL.....?? You've gotta be joking when u say Moore would take us to the playoffs, right?? He can't even beat out Thill, for which I AM NO APPOLOGIST. Just read the first paragraph of THIS ARTICLE!-WE(anyone who thought this team was going to be ANY assemblance of GOOD! It's the truth, & it hurts! Moore's not even as good as Thill, & THAT SHOULD SPEAK FOR ITSELF! Not to mention, why??? He's a career backup, & has NO POSSIBILITY for further growth(he's just to old). Personally, I'd like them to bring up Doughty, & see what he can do for a few games. If he's no worse than Thill, KEEP HIM IN!-he's a rookie, so growth would be INEVITABLE. If he's not the answer, then maybe see if Moore some how magically turns out to be someone different than what we ALREADY KNOW HIM TO BE! If he was even 1 STEP better than Thill right now, the coaches who watch him play 5 days a week would probably have ALREADY GIVEN HIM A SHOT. The thing is, WE KNOW WHAT MOORE IS, & I guess even MORE IMPORTANT, WHAT HES NOT! Oh', & as for Firing Gase?!!!....??... That's the MOST MISGUIDED, UNAWARE comment I've seen a Phins fan say to date! & that's saying ALLLLLLLOOOOOOOTTTTT!!!!!!! Like ALLLLLOOOOTTTT!! Like (-------------------------------------------) that big. Jk lol. Sorry, I'm not trying to be cruel, or mean. But Gase, a 1st year, BRAND NEW coach is ALREADY showing his coaching genius, & were 1game past only the first quarter mark. The benchings, stern warnings to players, followed by action. And the(just happened) big roster amputation-(which was ABSOLUTELY one of the shrewdest, most genius, & paradoxically, one of the most veteran moves I've seen made in this league in A LOOOONG TIME!-(except for maybe the coach(whom I'll never "name" in ANY format)-in our division). Except for him, I think back to Shula, who was FAMOUS for these mid-season, roster shakeup type moves. Look at teams(like we have ALL year) that have an ever shifting roster, & your almost ALWAYS gonna land on a brilliant coach!! Besides, he was given Philben, & Tannenbaums(the guy who's REALLY THE ONE YOU SHOULD BE LOOKING TO FIRE) ABSOLUTES Debachle, of a roster. The mess we are in, is ALMOST ALL ROSTER RELATED! Gase has been handed a dumpster fire, and all he has to put it out with is his own @*#~... You get the message. Tannenbaum's slimy, crafty self even created a "NEW"(fraudulent) imaginary work title, & passed the term gm onto Grier, just to SHIFT THE FOCUS OF THE "HOT, & HEAVY" BLAME OFF HIMSELF! All the while hoodwinking Ross who has OPENLY stated he has NOTHING to do with ANY/ALL FOOTBALL RELATED BUISNESS!-HE put THAT, in TANNENBAUMS hands. I just PRAY, the blame gets PUT WHERE IT BELONGS!-and that's NOT in Ross's, or Gase's hands! Go Get Em' Gase!! ~Phins up, Haters Down~!

Oh', & IN NO WAY, was I trying to insinuate "your delusional" Dave...-(maybe alittle misguided, or who knows, we're all just spewing "opinion" for the most part, anyways:-). Or AM I TRYING TO BE MEAN, or disrespectful to you, or ANYONE HERE for that matter. I just let my mind, and emotions, fly onto my posts. Actually Dave, I think quite highly of u, & have NOTHING BUT RESPECT for yah'! I actually find your posts resonate EARILLY close with my views outta' EVERYONE on these sights! So much love, & respect! Go Get Em' Gase! ~Phins up, Haters Down!~

I'm RIGHT THERE WITH YAH'! I'd LOVE to see them "throw Doughty in the deep end", & give him a couple game "look-see". If he bombs, & isn't ready, just pull him after a couple games, & throw him back in the "NFL preschool"! THEN... & ONLY THEN..(after Thill shows nothing under improved protection, or things stay in the "abyss" up to the by by week. & We've gotten a look-see at whether Doughty can "make the keep"). Only, THEN... I'd like to check out Moore(AGAIN, I might add). We ALREADY know what Moore is, & he's grown to full potential already. THATS... Why I'm not of the, "we want Moore" crowd. Much Respect Carl. Go Get Em' Gase! ~Phins Up, Haters Down!~

Have ya'll noticed the recent fan posts talking, & calling for a possible trade/pickup for Cutler, Rivers, Gino etc... ITS DRIVING ME BONKERS!! Just read the article about "moving on from Thill", & it was perplexing, to say the least.... Also, it talked about(& spot on, I might add) how that would NEVER HAPPEN because they don't have much time in the game left.-DUHH'! It boggles my mind!!-TRULLY- Yet I have not EVEN SEEN A SINGLE POST(nonetheless article/blog/or blog) about guys like Garrapollo, or Simean, or ANY of this rookie class/near rookies, etc. MAMY OF WHOM HAVE ALREADY SHOWN THEY CAN PLAY @ this level! If it were my decision going into next year -I would trade for Jimmy. & I would GLADLY give a 1st rounder+.+.+. No, I wouldn't draft one; because NO MATTER HOW MUCH CONFIDENCE I might have in one of them becoming Michael VickX5(😉We see ya'll ballin' down there in the ACC, & up in Michigan). Draft picks -ARE ALWAYS A GAMBLE-... & we don't have to look hard to prove that 5X over!!! (Rg3, Johnny, ALL the other Qbs selected by Clevland, Jacksonville, etc, etc in the 1st). Yes, I do understand Watson's ceiling is through the roof, & is probably gonna be a decent-great qb in the NFL. BUT!!... -There's ALWAYS a chance he goes RG3, or whtevr. Jimmy Garrapollo has ALREADY PROVEN he has what it takes, & he's got plenty of time left, & room to grow.-(& Jimmys not the ONLY ONE that's shown there capable, reliable, has room for growth, & they've proven it!). Right now, we need to start prepping Doughty for a "trial by fire", & watching Thill VERY CLOSLY!-(& puttin' him on a SHORT LEASH!)!! Go Get Em' Gase! ~Phins Up, Haters Down!~ Go Phins!

David A.

I have been and OL Coach for many years here at MSU Missoula. To tell what I am seeing is plain rude bud. I been coaching my whole life. I watch all the OL's in the NFL and in College to find flaws and help my teams do better. Look at the 16 drop-backs he took do not count till he is set. That is where you start not at snap. The OL LT and RT are inside the pocket before he is set nowhere to go but being sacked. Now look at some plays where he has over 4 seconds the ball is out. OL's in NFL must hold their blocks a max of 3 to 4 seconds before the QB is set. Look at Pats or anybody with a good to great OL. The QB does not fluster because he knows he is being protected. I am 46 years old and been coaching since age 22. So I know what I am seeing. I am also a Dolphins fan so I follow them so closely. I sent you guys Lex Hilliard, Jordan Tripp, Dan Carpenter, and Tuff Harris. None of them were worthy to stay witj fins but, boy the were great Grizzlies. Thanks. No harm done just proving my point.

These stats are not accurate. I watched many snaps by tannehill during the games and I counted 1-1000 2-1000 3-1000; and I got up to 8-1000 sometimes. Most of the snaps taken by tannehill were at least 3 seconds. You can do this yourself during a game and you will find that tannehill has 3 to 5 seconds on every play. Therefore; all of these complaints about the OL are BOGUS! Tahhehill is; and always has been the problem.

avatar

Totally agree, he needs to be afforded ATLEAST another couple games with moderate protection.-(which he CLEARLY has NOT HAD ANYTHING RESEMBLING!). In NO WAY am I putting ALL the blame on the OL. Thill, & the ENTIRE offense,(including questionable play calling) deserve their FAIR SHARE of blame. It's tough to say, because I TOTALLY believe in Gase(including play calling)-which is kinda' a contradiction. I think he's just taking on TOO MUCH for a new/rookie HC. I don't think he should give play calling to the OC, but he could of delegated better coming into the season.-(some of the growing pains I attribute to a new/rookie HC. I DONT THINK MOORE IS THE ANSWER to some of the QB woes either. If anything bring up Doughty, & if Thill TOTALLY flops AFTER being afforded better protection(this season), then throw Doughty in the "deep end" for a couple games, & see how he does. If he's not ready, send Em' back down to the "kiddy pool". As for Gase, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the "sweeping cuts" this week, & the straight forward approach, honesty, & "hard line" he, AND, his DC have thus shown. BUT.... The ONE THING that's worrisome to ME, about our Coachs; is something I HAVENT HEARD mentioned -ANYWHERE-!! -All I heard about "our new HC, & DC, revolved around them building "their system" to "fit the players, & their strengths". Thus far(atleast to my eyes, & ears) it appears QUITE THE OPPOSITE! --I'd LOVE to hear anyone else's "take" on this observation! -(& if someone can point out where this HASNT been the case, & they have catered the play to the players.)- I have heard AN AWFUL LOT this season(FROM the COACHES) about players not fitting into the "schemes".?? I thought they were developing the "schemes" around the players?-(or atleast, that's ALL I heard coming from pudnants speaking about what our HC, & DC, were "bringing" to the origination.) -Go Get Em' Gase!- ~Phins Up, Haters Down!~
