Trade Matt Moore, give QB2 to Doughty.

I have to say, I watched Friday's game, and I know, I know its only preseason week 1 but, I was no impressed with Tannehill, his movements, his decisions at all, that being said I know he will be the starter and there is no way around it.  I believe The Dolphins need to trade Matt Moore and keep Brandon Doughty.  What I saw from Doughty, I absolutly love his play.  Confident, and accuracy is amazing which is what he is known for.  He was the most productive QB in college prior to him entering the draft, ahead of the 2 first picks in 2016.  He led the nation in yards, completions and completion percentage.  If Tannehill isn't going anywhere and Matt Moore is not going to be a starter for us, trade Moore and give that spot to Doughty.  Who knows, maybe he has what it takes to be the answer Miami is waiting for.  I do not want to see him slip to the practice squad because he won't be there long.

100% agree. I like Moore, but he isn't going to lead us to the playoffs. If we can get a pick for him next year, that's a boon for us.

CHILL OUT ! Doughty does have a future, but anyone think that he can stare down an NFL defense right now is smoking too much Ricky-weed. All his great stats were not against top notch college programs. 1-2 years with Gase and maybe, maybe Phins have something. This year, if Tanny goes down or "slumps it up" then we have Matt. He is a gunslinger and has his moments of both good and bad, but he is NFL ready. Doughty, not yet. Keep him though. Rather Phins do what it takes to keep Doughty on the roster vs some obscure other spare part.

We all know Matt Moore ain't taking Tannehill's spot. Doughy? Who knows? I say trade Moore for whatever you can get!

I love Doughty and think he could be the real deal. I would keep him as QB3 and cut Dysert. I agree with Edwin Pena too, we should be smart with Doughty and give him a chance to develop vs. NFL talent. GO PHINS~!

All of the so-called fans who want to trade Matt Moore and keep a 5 times losing QB called tannepuke are INSANE! A more LOGICAL trade would be to shop tannehill and give whomever will take him our next 3 first round picks and 3 cases of buttermilk biscuits.

My cousin mike is right.tannehill diesnt have it.never will.everytime moores in there he makes a long completion.granted hd will also throw a pick but he is not scared.as for the rookie 48vtdsc5000 yrds i dont care if its high school kid is accurate repeat accurate!!tanepuke is not!!sometimes.u role the dice.the kid has it.

I watched and attended many of Doughty's college games while he was at WKU. Those who said he didn't get those stats against top notch college comp should look again. WKU finished at #24 in the nation and is 2-1 against the SEC the last 2 yrs. Doughty's stats were good against any team he played. He threw for 325 yds and 3 TD's against LSU. Give him time and he will be successful.

That is what i'm saying, let the kid learn, if 17 is going to be the guy which he is, Moore is nothing but a backup unless Miami see's him starting. He's backed up Tannehill for 6 yrs now, you draft Doughty, for a reason, let him learn behind Tannehill, if you see no future in Moore why keep him if he's just a stop gap ? who knows Doughty may turn into something but we don't keep 3 QB's if we did, this wouldn't be a topic I bring up. If you don't keep Doughty on the active 53, he's gone. Sooner than later.

David - I AGREE 100% lol thought i know that won't happen, they will not trade Tannehill, that is my first choice, keep Moore Doughty and trade 17, but unfortunately egos are way bigger than the right move when it comes to the NFL. as far as we can see now, and judging by stats, and OTA's and practice logs, first team O is struggling, Tannehill is holding onto the ball too long, not making quick decisions and doing the dink and donk like last year, however i've read from different reporters that when Moore is in, the ball is out. Not sure why, or what but in opinion, it's a talent thing.

Steelers #2 went down with a torn hammy. Trade Moore now!

Everyone needs to relax and give this offense, on it's 4th scheme in as many years, more than one meaningless pre-season game where the starting offense played two drives. I mean lets at least wait until the "dress rehearsal" before we start going nuts. Some of you guys are setting your expectations WAY too high.

Yeah Mike; trading tannepuke now would be ideal. If you noticed; we did not get any points or move the offense until tannehill sat on the bench. There are several teams in need of a QB to compete for the starting job. Did you notice how perfect the OL functions when tannehill is not under center? Matt Moore as the starter. Brandon Doughty as the backup and Dysert on the practice squad. We will be set for years to come.

With all the recent qb injuries there is definitely a market for Matt moore. He might be gone sooner than people think. And that's because Doughty is Dan Marino's guy. And Desert is The head coaches guy so you do that math.
