DeVante Parker is injured, again. He is nursing yet ANOTHER hamstring injury.
Look I get it, the kid is talented but what good does it do if he never gets on the field? He hasn't impressed me so far in camp or preseason, mostly because he has not played. I applaud Adam Gase for calling him out too, no need to kiss his ass because he has proven nothing so far.
Amari Cooper. According to him, battled nagging injuries all last season but he fought through them and played. Why is it different for DeVante? According to the Dolphins, he has to learn how to take care of his body. Eat a good breakfast and hydrate. WHAT??! Think about that for a second. You have to teach a professional athlete about good eating habits and how to drink the proper amount if water? LOL
This is the NFL. Miami is a professional organization, not a babysitting service.
DeVante is shaping up to be another draft bust. Which is why I say we should trade him, like now!
Get another LB or CB. Maybe a high draft pick. Let someone else deal with this guy because I don't see him ever being worth his draft status and before people realize this, get what you can for him. He is just handicapping our team at this point in my opinion.

Hi Dave. Your articles are usually spot on but i have to disagree on this one. Yes, he's had some injury issues but it's too early to bail on him just yet, he has way too much talent. I would rest him as much as possible and let his hamstring heal up. That isn't an injury you can just tough it through. If it doesn't heal properly, it will just keep getting injured repeatedly. If he can't get on the field for the last 10 games or so maybe we cut him next offseason. Phins up!
Agree 100% He's too talented to cast aside. Let's wait to see how he does after having had a "come to Jesus meeting" with Gase.
As Joe Philbin would say - He makes me queezy.
I wouldn't consider him another Yatil Green but I am just as frustrated as anyone else.
The problem, as I see it, is these modern athletes get too muscular for their own good. Some frames just aren't designed for massive hamstrings or glutes. They lift too much and then they cannot stretch them out enough to run full speed and wind up pulling or tearing them.
I would hang onto to Parker. And not let him play until he is healed even if we have to PUP him for 6 weeks in order to open a roster spot.
I hope I'm wrong - I just can't see him holding up for 16 games. It's too bad too bc he makes our wr group down right scary.

I hope all of you are right that DeVante will be worth the wait, but if not, I'll be the first to say "I told ya so"!!!!!!
It made me sick when they released Reshard Matthews I knew devante would not see the field too often he came on a little at the ens of last season but not enough to have him penciled in as the #1or2 reciever I guarantee Reshard will have a great season thus year as our beloved devantae watches from the sideline god damn it miami do something right for a change!!!

It's not looking good...and why do we ditch whalen for some dude that sounds just like Parker ?
People; Devonte Parker is simply eating or drinking something regularly that is making him injury prone. I bet it is metallic chemicals such as mercury or lead. It could also be Liver damage or intestinal parasites. One of these three things or a combination of them can cause an athlete to suffer muscle and joint weakness. These three things can also cause one to have brittle bones. Thus when under stress and strain the muscles, joints or bones may collapse and the athlete suffers injury often.

Interesting David. The coaches should ask Cameron Wake to speak to him about nutrition. Wake is a freak of Nature - I don't think Wake has eaten fried food in 15 years. Lawrence, no way we trade this athlete. Look what he did to New England in week 17. We will need at least 10 of those games this year. He simply has to grow up and be a professional.
The last two weeks he played well. I liked Matthews a lot. Made a lot of clutch catches. But cap hit wasn't going to work in his favor.
David Apillos I have respect for all Phins fans bit you have to be fucking kidding me. You really think that?
RCA yeah I think that. Many people have accumulated lead and mercury from eating fish. By the way; not only does lead and mercury cause severe depression but it piles up in your joints and cause muscles and joints to collapse under stress.
If you think back in the 70's and 80's you never heard of an athlete TEARING a muscle or rotator cup. That was unamaginable back then. But in recent years in sports; it happens often. Why? Because many things that we eat today are loaded with metallic chemicals. They are spraying the fruits and vegetables with insecticides that contain mercury, lead and arsenic. Even when you wash these fruits and vegetables; small amounts are still present and eaten. Then these small amounts from fruits, vegetables and fish begin to build up in our bodies. Some athletes know how to remove these metallic chemicals and some do not. Those who do not attend to these matters end of injured all the time. Intestinal parasites develop from eating meats that are not fully cooked. The parasite eggs hatch in our bodies and grow in number quickly. This causes muscle weakness, clumsiness among many other things that can distort an athlete's abilities to perform and remain healthy.
So, Mr Adam Gase is right. Devonte Parker needs to consult a nutrionist; but after he has had a physical to check for metallic chemical levels in his body.
MadPhin; the coaches should have Devonte Parker tested for high metal content, Liver damage and Intestinal parasites. I guarantee you that he will be found to be suffering from one or more of the three above mentions. Thus the culprit will be in his diet.

The problem is that Miami's Front Office keeps spending high draft picks on players with injuries and/or medical issues. Every draft pick is already a gamble, but selecting an injured player is just increasing the odds that the player will be a bust.
True that Roland.
Very true Roland. Very true...
I feel the frustration just like you guys and I'm saying to you that the sky is not falling on Parker, at least not yet and though it is his second season he is pretty much a kid. I know he will get better at taking care of himself and he is not full of muscle,h e is skinny and he actually needs to thicken up a little bit. I worry more about his foot than his hamstring, but we will see. I think he will be fine.
The problem is that we don't draft FOOTBALL players. You can draft Miles Jack coming off of an injury, because he is Miles Jack. Character - in terms of work ethic and almost military discipline- is what separates teams from each other. We tend to be too comfy with appreciating physical gifts over mental ones.
