What A Difference With The OL Back

I thought perhaps the Dolphins and Steelers traded uniforms.

We played smash mouth football by pounding the run game down their throats, hitting open receivers, moving the chains, eating up the time of possession and finally playing tough as nails defense.

Going into the 4th quarter, all Pittsburgh could muster was one play. A reverse for a 60 yard TD. That was basically it.

Miami, on the other hand rushed for 222 yards. Tanne-Hype threw for 252 yards with no INTs.

Other than a few badly timed penalties, a few dropped passes and 2 missed FGs (one blocked and one wide left from 50 yards), we just dominated the Steelers.

Defensively, 2 INTs, 2 Sacks with giving up 317 yards to a very high powered offense.

With 4 minutes left in the game, the Steelers were starting only their 4th series of the second half.

That's amazing!

The entire OL should get game balls. They absolutely controlled the game.

The trick is doing it again and again.

For now, I'll take today's win and sleep well tonight.

Phins Up!!!

I'm dancing tonite like the dying thirsty guy in the middle of the desert who thinks he sees water up ahead and not a big mirage.

Our O-Line needs to stay healthy and we need to keep riding the J-TRAIN!! woo-WOOH !! And Tannehill can keep throwing the 50-yard bombs!!

avatar

come on guys, what about all the time we have spent bashing them? tearing down every player, proclaiming there is no upside to anyone!!!! oh those were the days...

Nice....I must say, I thought Pitt would hang a 50 burger on us. But the o line held up, the d line got pressure, and mr jay ajayi was a freaking monster. Oh.........Ryan t. Was good too. Great job boys....

I can't forget the effort from the backside of the d ..... Jones injured!!! with the diving pick, maxwell had a hell of a game , and that kid who was a receiver playing CB now? Yeah he made solid plays.

So where are all the naysayers and Tannehaters? Where is Apollos when they Dolphins finally get it right? I've heard the whole off season that it takes 5 or 6 games for a team to gel with a new offense and new coach etc. Well it's starting to gel. We will still have some setbacks but this shows what they are capable of when everyone does his job and works as a team. Dolphins are now 7-1 in the unicorn games. (Albert, Pouncey and Juwan all playing).

Haha, gasnotoil. We actually get more hits and comments with negative posts than positive posts but we have to be fair. They played well so we lose some readership.

avatar

Right. I thought we would get crushed too.

Add in Tunsil and they are undefeated.

The OL blew them off the ball. When was the last time we converted so many 3-1 and 3-2? And by running the ball.

David Keller,

I know, right? I love how all the fake fans are quiet now. Apollos only posts when we lose. I post about my frustration when the teams earns it, but I also recognize that they played AWESOME yesterday and they've earned some recognition. If you can't give them that right now, you aren't a real fan, so GTFO of here!

GREAT WIN!

Great win, can we cut the scumbag Arian foster already though? He looked like a slow old fat man.

Here's 0ne of the so-called naysayers happy to be eating crow today - absolutely happy. Now, I think we can all agree on the following: Let's see some consistency with another win. Would anyone disagree?

José J,

Agreed. My biggest worry is that we can't keep the O-line healthy. When they are, this is how I expect the offense to play. The problem is this was the first game out of 6 that we've had all our O-line starters and I'll be shocked if they stay healthy.

win in the trenches and everything falls into place, running game gets going, tannehill has more than 2.5 secs to throw, longer drives, more points, rested defense. also, where did that performance come from Maxwell? ??

We need to win against Buffalo...badly. If the Fins can play like this again and beat the Bills, they go into the bye week at 3-4. Then they have the Jets, @ Chargers, @ Rams, 49ers, and @ Ravens and those are all winnable games if they can keep playing like this. Hell, if they can do that to the Steelers, they may even have a chance to upset the Cardinals at home. That's only IF they can stay healthy and play consistently.

It's just so frustrating to know that at their best, they can beat pretty much anyone, but at their worst, they have to go into OT with the Browns.

We need em healthy

Bills firsto who are playing well too.
