Everyone is so excited about the Dolphins resurgent running
game. So am I, as good running teams tend to display the physicality that is necessary
for winning football. The Dolphins can
now be a balanced football team, but if anyone believes that 200 yard rushing
games or anything close to that is sustainable, you are setting yourself up for
serious disappointment. Now the Dolphins
have put the rest of the NFL on notice. Now other teams are going to game plan
to stop that potent running game and to some extent, they are going to be
successful. This in turn will create opportunities in the passing game, but
only if Adam Gase is not stubborn and inflexible. We cannot call power runs repeatedly
just to show our commitment to running the football when the opposition is
shutting us down. Gase must be ready to attack eight in the box sets with an
improving and potent passing game. He
will need to anticipate other teams’ strategies and utilize that knowledge to
stay one step ahead in preparation. I am not advocating for the Dolphins to in
any situation to give up on the running game. But for the Dolphins to continue
to win, the passing game will have to improve and become more consistent and
the running game will need to sustain a level of success. I hope that Adam Gase
is not using the bye week to exclusively tweak an already effective running
game. I hope that he is working to improve the efficiency of the passing game
in anticipation of the reaction of the rest of the NFL. The Dolphins offensive
line and running backs have given Dolphin nation two amazing weeks. It has
given us an edge. Will Adam Gase show the flexibility and creativity to parlay that
edge into something meaningful and lasting? Go Dolphins!

Sounds like your worried about Adam Gase, the very coach who patiently waited for his running game to develop. Time to give him credit for good coaching. He has to show a commitment to the run in order to have an effective passing game. So you can't have it both ways
Gase has said that he prefers the short passing game, and this has been confirmed by the OC. Only time will tell if Gase will continue to take advantage of this new-found weapon (adding in some play action and deep passes), or if he'll go back to the lame dink-and-dunk offense that he prefers.
We are going to run the ball. And effectively. Our OL can move the pile. J-TRAIN is a beast to tackle one on one.
Both Pittsburg and Buffalo knew early we were going to run the ball on them and they couldn't stop us since there really isn't too much you can do other than load the box which leaves guys one on one in coverage.
Unless you have 2 or 3 shut down corners or 4 beasts on the DL, all you can do is watch. There are only 11 guys on defense. You cannot add more.
Buffalo put 8 guys in the box. They even overloaded Tunsil's side so we would run the other way. Which we did.
We can beat 8 in the box. We have tools. Gase put in an extra blocker, Sam Young on occasion.
Put 8 in the box! We can then throw bombs to Kenny Stills, Devante Parker and Juice. Gase knows how to use the running game and set you up for the pass. Don't worry!
We will only be this dominate if the starting oline stays healthy. As we are not a complete team yet.1 injury leaves us with still questionable depth being exposed through extended playing time.As for Gase , he knows what hes doing. Hes light years ahead of ol queasy Philbin.
In Gase we trust...
